Well 3 weeks of actual work have gone past and it has been fast! We now have 4 days left at work before the holiday period begins so I look forward to relaxing as following exams I have been over here straight into work (well really I can't wait because ashlee's on her way here on Thursday 6th).
Well this week has been pretty busy with regards to finally finishing the majority of paper work for my visa and medical aid so atleast now if I get sick I have good cover.
Well first of all I just want to say that everyone that thinks that africa is hot everyday and never rains! are totally wrong lol. I have spend the majority of this past week organising indoor training sessions as there has been heavy rain, thunder & lighting and the thing is, over here the thunder and lighting is so bad that sport is even stopped for it because it is to danger, scary a !
However yesterday it was about 29 degrees so it's starting to warm up and everyone saying how it has never rained this much (I'm sure it does but you no how people are lol) at this time of the year so the good weather must all be building up for my holiday yay!!
Sunday I spend watching the Black caps play South Africa in the cricket and had a Braai (BBQ) and swam. Went and played touch with my mate from work and his friends and oh they were shocking! NZ is the place to be for skill!!!!
Anyway Monday came around and right through until about wednesday really only completed a bit of work, drinking coffee and played a lil golf (Only played 3 holes because then the thunder and lighting came in and paid for the whole lot! Well it only really worked out to be $5NZ so can't complain)!
Oh sorry went and had a game of tennis on tuesday night and I tell ya, the autitude significantly speeds up the ball speed as I could hardly catch up with it sometimes!
Had our nutritionist (same one for the cheetas and the South African cricket team) come and meet with me on Wednesday afternoon and ran through our plans for the up coming year! This was really good and significantly increased my understanding of nutrition supplymentation of which I think should be and needs to be included within the nutritional papers within the sport science degrees because it is highly important!
Anyway apart from this sorry I don't have much to tell ya's apart from people over here often don't work very hard, they drink alot of coffee and eat alot of food lol!
However I am really enjoying my time in regard to the experience and look forward to the up coming holiday with ashlee lying on the beaches on the Durban coast and having a picnic in the wild with the Elephants/ Lions/ Rhinos and the leppards (There is a game park 2 hours away with the big 5 of which you can stay in logdes for the night and picnic is fenced off areas in the wild while the animals surround you!
Hope everyone is well and everyone has a great christmas and new years. If I don't reply and write another letter until after new years!
Take care and have a great time
Chris Brown
